Cheltenham Detached Youth Work

Closed 2 Nov 2021

Opened 13 Oct 2021

Overview

The Cheltenham Detached Youth Work programme started in July 2021, delivered by Inspire to Aspire CIC, who are recognisable in yellow hoodies.  The team has been going out on the streets in Charlton Kings, Up Hatherley, Oakley, the Moors and the town centre since the start of the school summer holidays, to meet young people where they are gathering and to build safe adult relationships with them.  There is also a reactive team which has been working mainly in St Pauls.

We would like to hear from partners about how the programme is going so far and what the main issues are for young people in the area you work in.
