Overview

Cheltenham Borough Council is responsible for licensing taxis and private hire vehicles in Cheltenham.  The authority is also responsible for setting local licensing policies to ensure that licensed vehicles are safe, fit for use and accessible to everybody who needs them.

The authority is currently reviewing aspects of its vehicle licensing policy.  As part of the review process, the authority wants to hear from people with a range of disabilities to understand their experiences of using taxis and private hire vehicles in Cheltenham.  This information is particularly relevant to the authority’s plans to increase the amount of fully wheelchair accessible licensed vehicles.
