Affordable, accessible, safe and secure housing are the council’s key priorities. We have recently reviewed and updated two key strategies.
We encourage residents to share their thoughts on these two draft documents which can be found at the bottom of this page.
These strategies have been informed by a number of wider partnerships and set out our key strategic priorities.
Our key priorities centre around the continued delivery of affordable homes, ensuring existing accommodation is the best that it can be, tackling homelessness and offering strong support services, and the health and wellbeing of our communities. In line with the council’s pathway to net zero by 2030, energy efficiency and enhanced biodiversity will be a golden thread running throughout our housing, homelessness and rough sleeping strategy.

The feedback received from the consultation will help to shape a robust report for cabinet to consider in the summer.
We will carefully consider all feedback received and this will inform the final version of the adopted Cheltenham Borough Council Housing, Homelessness & Rough Sleeping Strategy 2023-28 and the Tenancy Strategy 2023-28.
