The Cheltenham Detached Youth Work programme started in July 2021, delivered by Inspire to Aspire CIC, who are recognisable in yellow hoodies. In 2019, Cheltenham Borough Council declared a climate emergency and a commitment to be a carbon neutral council and borough by 2030.
Our roadmap to eliminate the borough carbon footprint includes a climate action fund to help finance the road to zero carbon.

The Climate Emergency Staff Group was set up to provide a focus for staff action in response to the Councils declaration of a climate emergency, and its commitment to be a carbon neutral town by 2030.
It was envisioned that this be a friendly grouping of staff who are passionate about limiting (and potentially even reversing) the damaging effects of man-made climate change, both in a personal and Borough Council sense.
