Overview

An estimated 70% of car journeys within Cheltenham are under 2km; many of these journeys could be made on foot or by bicycle. A modal shift to more active transport is needed to reduce emissions from privately owned vehicles.

As part of our commitment to become a Net Zero carbon council and borough by 2030, Cheltenham Borough Council is developing a safe cycle storage hub for visitors to the town centre.  Funded by the UK Shared Prosperity Fund, the facility will be in a central location close to shops and restaurants and at the very least will provide a well-lit, secure, dry place to store your bikes and reduce the need to drive.

Why your views matter

We have a brilliant opportunity to work with local businesses and Cheltenham’s cycling community to design a hub that works for all. To make sure the cycle hub meets the needs of our community we would like some feedback on what the facility would mean to you and what else you would like to see in the hub.

It is not compulsory to provide any contact details. However, if you wish to do so there is space at the end of the survey.
